J&L Specialty Folder Gluer Operator
Etobicoke, ON

Pay up to $29.00 - 30.00 (depending on experience)

Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm
Some weekends and overtime required

You will be responsible for all activities associated with running the McKinley machine. This includes set-up, operation, during and post-run quality check up, and clean up.

Responsibilities:

• Review work orders to determine job specifications

• Conduct machine set up - prepare print plates, set up slots, adjust glue section and rails, put ink in the machine

• Run conveyor belt to clean off any product going to the baler machine

• Check and ensure that the glue system is operating properly

• Monitor regular runsfor quality and consistency

• Follow safety procedures and rules and wear PPE

Requirements:

• Strong technical experience in corrugate converting, and/or printing/folding carton industry, preferably with experience setting up and operating complex manufacturing equipment.

• 1 - 2 years' experience as a Specialty Folder/Gluer

• Able to define problems, collect data and draw reasonable conclusions

• Must be able to fluently communicate in English both verbally and written

• Must have basic math skills, add/subtract fractions, convert fractions, convert inches to millimeters

• Some experience in RRP/POS Packaging production would be asset

• Ability to lift up to 30lbs

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
