Forklift Operator - General Labour

Position Overview:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, stack, and organize materials within a warehouse or storage facility. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts to transport and relocate materials, products, or equipment within the warehouse or storage facility.
• Load and unload goods from trucks, containers, and pallets.
• Safely stack, organize, and store materials in designated areas to maximize space and ensure safety.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that materials are stored securely and free from damage.
• Conduct routine inventory checks and assist with updating inventory records.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while operating forklifts and handling materials.
• Perform regular inspections of forklift equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Report any forklift maintenance issues or accidents promptly to management.
• Assist with additional warehouse tasks, including packaging, labeling, and preparing orders for shipment when needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with stand-up counterbalance or dockstocker.
• Valid forklift operator certification (required).
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and operational standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy objects.

Working Conditions:

• Position typically performed in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Requires to be able to lift up to 50lbs. 
• Monday to Friday 8AM to 4PM
