Finance Manager
Etobicoke, ON

Salary $137, 000

 

Seeking a Senior Finance Manager with manufacturing background for our client in Etobicoke.  This role will direct the financial affairs and prepare financial analysis of operations.

 

Responsibilities

 

·         Maintain the company’s system of accounts and keep books and records on all transactions and assets

·         Coordinates and directs the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts

·         Leads the AP and AR team in process refinement to strengthen performance and controls

·         Will oversee Statistics Canada Surveys as well as our Credit Insurance Program

·         Inventory, valuation, physical counts procedures and planning

·         Prepares monthly financial reports for BND and CCL

·         Provides guidance related to production strategy with a focus on cash flow

·         Establish and maintain a fixed asset database

·         Has the final responsibility for providing effective financial controls for the organization

·         Establish a database of customer write offs to allow better forecasting

 

Qualifications

 

·         Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration

·         CPA designation

·         5+ years experience in progressive finance roles in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience

·         Experience as part of a senior management team reporting to the CEO/Owner

·         Strong in-depth knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and inventory valuation

·         Experience in forecasting and demonstrated leadership with strategic financial insights

·         Possesses good working knowledge of ERP systems and financial software

·         Have a good working knowledge of MS Office with a proficiency to link various files / sheets using VLOOKUP’s, Conditional Formatting, if/then, pivot tables
